Elastomeric roof coating

I am a homeowner in New York, with a flat roll roof. Lots of people here are applying the elastomeric white coating on their roofs. For me the coating will cost around $500. I am wondering if people think it’s worth it, in terms of savings on electricity – we run the ACs for 3-4 months – and extended roof life. The roof’s in good shape, no leaks, bubbles, or any other visible defect.

It’s a good investment if you have a good roof and want to extend the life. It does help with keeping the roof cool, but that probably is not a big deal in your market.

Using this coatings can help in the lasting factor of a roof, plus it also save your electric bills. That would definitely worth an investment.
