Check into J&R Roofing. As I remember, they are out of Maryland, but I think they have an office in Florida (I could be thinking of another Maryland roofer though since it has been awhile). I know they used to have a guy that was phenomenal with slate; he could chip away at the slate and make eagles and all sorts of things like a Greek marble carver or something. I must also warn you that I don’t know how much slate you will find in Florida, compared to places further up the east coast, i.e., D.C., Boston, etc.
