We’ve included a line item, occasionally, for supervision on a residential claim. However, it rarely is approved. We’ve heard supervision is only “allowed” on a commercial claim. Yes or no? And, if yes, how are you framing it so it gets approved?
I have seen some carriers applying supervisor hours on residential claim in lieu of O&P. We have not allowed that and made them pay O&P instead.
I’ve gotten is approved on residential jobs but the insurance companies like to use the word “complex” to justify if they will pay it or not. If its a slate, tile, or wood job I never have an issue getting it approved. If its comp shingles good luck.
