Ive done that kind of roofing before ind i did not like it. But hey Im lazy.

acutally the inspector thing just came along.
but as far as spf goes.
ive been around that for awhile.
its been on the market down here bout 20 yr,
heavy for about 8 yrs.

the coatings have gotten alot bett in the last 5 yrs.

and the spray techniques are gettin alot better.
the sprayer for the company im watchin (tarheel roofing),
gets it damn near flat over bur/gravel.

its definately pricless education for me.

Polyurethane foam is produced by a chemical reaction of a polyol and an isocyanate, in the presence of catalysts and other additives. The result is a rigid plastic that expands during the curing process and becomes a seamless layer of closed cell foam.

The roofing system includes preparation of the substrate, as well as application of the foam and elastomeric coating. This coating produces a weather resistant surface that can be walked upon for normal maintenance.

boy aaraon that was quite a bit of info…can you give me a link? i think i might have a roof that would be ideal for this. it is a tar & gravel. it has been repaired numerous times per year (not by myself). i did the most recent repair (which actually worked). i informed the building owner that it is way over due for a roof. he is getting nickel & dimed to death with repairs. but it is leased out to a bussiness and it doesnt seem that he will want to spend the money for a complete tear down. is it a more affordable sytem as opposed to full replacement? is it compatibale with a cold climate? what kind of eqip. would be needed?

You would need heated plural component proportioning equipment.
You would need to invest in crew education to apply it.
