I’ve been told by a roofer that CertainTeed gives him 5 free “20-year labor warranties” (I assume that is a workmanship warranty) with 110 mph wind ratings, and that he’ll toss that in if I give the job to him and choose CertainTeed shingles.

Does CertainTeed give you guys such freebies to give out? After getting a bunch of estimates with different contractors telling me all types of different things, I’m beginning to doubt anything new they say. lol.

Yes he can if he is a certified installer from certainteed. I know I recieve 7 “free” warrantys a year from GAF/Elk.

The 110mph wind ratings only apply if he is using 6 nails. At least I believe that to be true with certainteed since thats how it is with GAF.
