Hello, I am currently under contract on a home and am wanting to learn more about the roof, which is unlike anything else in the area. Could anyone tell me what style this roof seems to be (perhaps gambrel or mansard?)
I know nothing about this, so any information would be very helpful! Thank you in advance!
Here are a few more photos:
That is what I would call a Mansard type roof.
Thank you so much! Is it perhaps a “neo-Mansard?” Any other particular details?
The roof has elements of both a Mansard & a Gambrel.
Mansards commonly have low slopes for the top parts & wall like steep slopes on the side.
Mansards frequently have recessed window wells.
IMO the sides are too steep to consider it a Gambrel & it has no gable ends.
