Post-Catastrophe Insurance Deductibles

Rather than pad insurance claim estimates to cover deductibles, or absorbed the deductible costs, many post-catastrophe jobs have more than just roofing damage, and since the client’s [percentage or flat dollar sum] deductible is applied proportionally to ALL individual damaged components, (roofing, siding, painting, guttering factory finishes, window frame factory finishes, interior work, etc. construction components), one could, with the loss claimants’ permission, plan on repairs from the roof down that are covered by the insurance hard dollar reserve, and leave the work/dollar balance reflected by the deductible sum, as work they (the client) do at their own expense/pace.
