i had contractor come by my house and he showed me the gerard shingles, about the same as decra. i live in alaska and very windy here like fla and other places. how does the metal shingle hold up to high extreme windy areas? is there somehow i can purchase the materials for us to do the roof ourselves? it’s not like living in the lower 48 and can procrue anything we want here. thanks
I believe Gerard pionierd the stone coated metal shingle. We have only installed Decra and I was not impressed with the product for the $ I would look at snap loc standing seam. I believe they have a 120 mph wind warranty.
