I am doing a roof over, the existing roof is in good shape and has drip edge already installed. My question is do I need to replace the existing drip edge and do I need to add a new starter row? Or can I just start shingling?
New drip edge isn’t necessary. I would add a starter row however even though its debatable if they are necessary on a roof over as the existing shingles would act as a starter row.
