Rubber roof replacing cedar shakes

We are replacing a cedar shake roof and narrowed down to rubber (Euroshake lite brand) or a metal roof. We’re leaning to Euroshake but hesitant, primarily because it’s a new product and there’s limited installation experience/knowledge in our area. Any opinions on rubber vs metal?

thanks

Roofing materials that are new to the market have a fairly high rate of failure.

You are best off sticking with a product proven over time.

Go with metal. Metal is a lot more flame resistant.
