I do sometimes, I don’t usually do the entire roof with hot dipped or stainless.
I usually just hand nail the ice build up spots with the right nails and use the same electro galvanized everyone else uses for the bulk of the roof.
You can get 3,600 ct boxes of stainless roofing nails for $100 if you look around online.
