Use of drying fans in wet attic

Is the use of drying fans in a wet attic considered valuable to a project? I’ve pretty well stopped the actual leaks, but now I have some wet plywood, rafters, insulation, drywall, etc. How soon after it quits raining can I get back to applying shingles?

Be careful that the fans are not blowing the insulation all over the place. Those fibers are bad news. I’d pull out all the wet insulation immediately and dispose of it. It is just ruining the sheet rock ceiling.

As soon as the decking is dry (not just drier), you can lay new felt and cover that dry felt with shingles. Water on the roof is a killer, as you now know.
