When ordering the materials for a modified torch job, what percentage of waste factor do you use? What factors do you consider when calculating the waste?
Does Xactimate have the waste factor built in to it’s line items for installing modified?

Really depends on the job layout. Walls, curbs, ect eat material if you do them right. Also need to factor in edge length if laminating metal bewtween plyes.
I figure out how it is going to be laid out then add 10% to the material based on the layout.
I try to minimize the amount of sidelaps even if it leaves a significant amount of waste.
There shouldn’t be too much waste though because most of it can be used for stripping in the edges.
