One more - what should the difference in cost be between a standard GAF AR 30 yr shingle and the GAF Ultra shingles? Does Does $35.00 a square sound appropriate?

Looks like tile (clay) around here there would be huge difference compared to gaf ultra Dimensionals…

I’m actually not an expert on tile, but looks like a glazed concrete tile to me. Could be glazed clay tile as well. Google US Tile (concrete) and Ludwici (clay) Price difference? Clay and or concrete tile will be about 10x more than asphalt shingle, not counting any structural improvements necessary to carry the additional weight.

I am going to guess a cement tile it almost looks like a synthetic. Any clue on the age of the roof ? and Any way of a better pic? I could guaranty you get an up close on it and some one here will be like it is ____ no doubt about it .
13" slurry finish flat concrete tile. Could be Saxony Slate by Boral maybe. Concrete tile roofs are a very common roofing system in Miami. http://www.boralna.com/ProductCatalogue/product.aspx?country=US&product=2638
Down here these tile run about $90/sq & up depending on color. Trim pieces are way more but that’s not what gets you. Throw in the loading cost, a hot-mopped 90lb or Polystick TU Plus underlayment on top of the 30 and we’re selling this roof for around $600/sq.
