Workers Memorial Day , April 28. It was established to recognize workers who died or suffered from exposures to hazards at work. It also encourages us to think of ways in which we all can help to achieve the goal of safer and healthier workplace.
I have been a subscriber to OSHA emails and alerts for several years. I received the email, Monday of the different Memorial services around the country, today. I had never heard of the Day. We all talked about friends and co workers that had been badly injured or killed in jobsite accidents. It’s amazing how many people, each of us know, that have been killed.
Construction is listed in the top 10 most dangerous jobs in the United States. It’s actually the #4 most dangerous job. Be smart and work smart.
