The business side of roofing is really difficult for me. I’m having no problems with the roofing but the book keeping and workers comp are too much. Does anybody have any input on workers’ comp codes? I live in CA and the rates are killing me! 50% of payroll. Does anybody know of any ways to get the worker’s comp down?

Sheetmetal for drip edge?
is there a clean-up code?
Carpentry?
Material handeling?

Not in California, you’re screwed. If anything expect it to go up like everything there. We are just across the border North and people are moving here as fast as they can.

Just price accordingly. Everyone else that has it is paying the same rates.
